It took me a while to figure out the XENOGENESIS reference in this photo, but once I saw the the back of the adult woman in the corner I understood the bouncy cross generational chemistry that was happening inside the frame.
A pink plastic horse – offspring markedly different, indeed. Don’t know whether it is too obvious or too subtle, but the horse seems to be jumping away from the woman like a child eager to enter the action in the plastic “bubble.” The photo juxtaposes the static position of the woman in the outside world with the childs play inside the plastic environment, and the illusion of the plastic horse trying to escape the static outer world to join that child’s world of fun. I can imagine a real child in the bubble jumping up and down with glee with that horse just like it was real!
