There was a high speed euphoria to what I believe was a SELENOGRAPHY (study of the moon) video piece that you made. It appeared that a great deal of the imagery was of NYC but there were also repetitions of black and white early cinema films. The music had a way of dominating the experience, distracting me from feeling the connection of the grand moon figure in the beginning and the end to the other images, except for the fact that this cosmic shape framed our daily life on earth. Dare I anthropomorphize? The moon appeared to be a demure figure in a party where she felt awkwardly out of place.
I loved your choice of music…
Also I thought the clip of people dressed up in strange animal costumes and dancing around was especially intriguing…
The text also struck me as interesting because it was impossible to focus on both at once. I thought that was a neat choice because if the viewer really wants to know what the text says they have to go back and watch the video twice…
